| Home Energy Assistance Program (E-HEAP). The Emergency Program provides assistance once per heating season to eligible households that are disconnected, threatened with disconnection, or have less than a ten day supply of bulk fuel. Those households serviced by a PUCO-regulated utility must sign up for the Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) or another payment plan in order to receive emergency benefits. |
| Public Utilities Commission Energy Assistance Programs 2008-2009: Assistance is available for both gas and electric bills. The assistance may be in the form of a reduction of your heating bill and/or a set amount based on your income to be paid each month. Eligibility for these programs is usually based on household income. |

| LIHEAP Program The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is a federally funded program administered by the Ohio Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ODECA). LIHEAP is funded through a grant from the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services. ADECA contracts with Community Action Agencies to deliver LIHEAP to low-income households throughout the state. |
